With a special focus on Ireland and special presentations to mark the year of the British Home Child, pre-Conference seminars, a marketplace of family history products and services, one-on-one consultations using electronic data sources, there is truly something for everyone.

It will take place at Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa
Pre-conference seminars include a Writing Group Participatory Workshop—“Turn Your Research into a Family Narrative” and how to create a book using family tree software. There will also a a tour of Library and Archives Canada
During the conference to help those searching for Irish roots: you can take part in an introductory lecture on using Ancestry.ca for Irish heritage; The Religious Press as a Data Source on Immigrants
and Immigration; and The Three C's – (Irish) Civil, Church and Census Records.
Registration fee: before August 7 – BIFHSGO members $65, non-members $90;
after August 7 – members $75, non-members $100. (Pre-Conference seminars extra).
